Rob Bell, the author of Velvet Elvis, has a series called Nooma. These are 10 to 14 minute DVD's that tackle topics like forgiveness, discipleship, and unconditional love. Dick Ebright has donated these DVD's to the church. The series has a total of 18 DVD's, each with a different topic. You are welcome to come and check them out. They care located in the church office. Please use the sign out sheet located with the DVD's. Thanks!

Have you completed the 101 class--Discovering Church Membership (getting to know more about St. Andrew's)? Well, have we got great news for you!! You are now fully qualified and eligible to sign up for the next step: 201 Discovering Spiritual Maturity.

Why attend? Spiritual Disciplines are great ideas but are also those things we tend to neglect when we get busy. Prayer, daily reading of the Bible, daily dialogue with God--tools to help is through our busy lives.

The CE Ministry Team has secured several dynamic and energetic leaders to help. If you have any questions or need more information about the class, please call the church or contact Pearl Jones, Angie Bailey or Speed Massenburg.

Women's Bible Study

Beginning on September 5Th on Wednesday evenings at 6:30pm we will have a Women's Bible Study. Do you ever ask yourself these questions?

"What's going on in the world?"
"Why all the abuse, violence, pornography, drug addictions, deceit, and immoral behavior?"
"How should Christians deal with out morally decaying society?"

In Ephesians 6:11-18 the apostle Paul answers these questions and gives us practical Christian tools to protect and defend ourselves. We will explore ways in which we can employ the "full armor of God" to combat our enemy and to protect ourselves and our families and the evil that surrounds us.

Presbyterian PW 2007 Fall Helpshops

The Fall Helpshops for Presbyterian Women will be held on Saturday, September 15th at Westminister Presbyterian Church. The Helpshops will be held from 9:00am-1:30om. Lunch is included. There is a fee of $8.00 due by Monday, September 3rd for advance registration. Payment at the door is $10.00. Please let Marilyn Snead know ASAP if you can go. There will be interesting workshops for all who attend.

2 Timothy Bible Study/Sermon Series

September 9Th, we will begin a sermon series on 2 Timothy that will also be accompanied by a Bible Study. Each week we will have opportunities to read and discuss the passage in 2 Timothy that will then be the passage for the sermon.

Pastor Spike has written a study guide. Copies of the study guide are available in the narthex or during Moments of Fellowship. Everyone, please pick up a copy. If you have any questions contact Pastor Spike Coleman at the church office.

The Christian Education Ministry Team invites you to participate in "Experiencing God: Knowing and Doing the Will of God."

Learn to hear when God is speaking to you
Find out where God is working and join Him
Experience God doing through you what only God can do!

Session 1 begins Sunday, September 9Th from 2:00-4:-- PM at St. Andrew's. It will be led by Dick Reason. Please prayerfully consider participating in this opportunity. The class is limited to a maximum of 12 people who must be willing to commit to 13 straight weeks.

A Charleston Atlantic Presbytery Event at Mt. Pleasant Presbyterian Church

This NEW Presbytery event is a great opportunity for all educators, parents, committee members, session members, pastors, youth leaders--really anyone who is interested in nuturing ones faith or the faith of others. It is an opportunity for personal growth, for absorbing new ideas and preparing for the new steps you may be taking within our congregation.

You are welcome to attend all the events or just one individual workshop.
